Fox International’s deputy chairman Andy little and senior product developer Adam Taylor just had the trip of a lifetime whilst testing the incredible new Stratos TS reel from the Fox Sport Fishing brand. The pair travelled to Watamu in Kenya where they knew that the new gear would have to endure some of the most powerful fish in the world to pass the test. To say it passed with flying colours would be an understatement! Landing a whole host of big and beautiful fish, topped off by potentially the biggest ever amberjack to be landed on 50lb line off the coast of Kenya! Andy used the hugely successful Trek Jig XT travel rod and landed the fish with his Stratos TS 2000 test model, loaded up with 50lb Horizon Pro braid. The technology that has gone into the Stratos TS reel allowed Andy to play the fish with power and precision ensuring the line did not part. So many huge fish have been hooked and lost due to the reel letting the angler down, however, with the Stratos TS you can fish safe in the knowledge that this will cope with some of the most powerful fish in the sea!
