The Santos range of reels just oozes quality! These high class spinning reels are machined from top quality aluminum stock and to ensure the smoothest transition our stainless steel gear train is mounted on eight top quality stainless steel ball bearings.

The Santos has been built around an infinite anti reverse system to ensure there is no backlash whatsoever within the gear mechanism and an extra large line roller and thick bail arm not only ensure great line management but also a highly robust design. And then of course there is our drag mechanism. This is something we are very proud of and our team have carried out a huge amount of research to ensure we have one of the smoothest and strongest drag systems around.

The Santos reels feature our unique high modulus extra large diameter carbon drag washers. These are lubricated with a specially formulated oil to not only increase longevity but also to give a smooth, seamless operation even under adverse conditions. You will notice that we have incorporated an easy grip, large EVA handle knob. Not only does this give a fantastic feel whilst in use it also ensures a non slip operation.

The Santos 4500 weighs in at 27 oz and has a gear ratio of 4.6:1. The drag delivers a full 30 lb when on maximum setting. The Santos 6500 has slightly more cranking power with its 4.5:1 gear ratio. When fully wound up the drag will give you 35 lb worth of resistance ensuring you have the capacity of cranking those monsters up from the deep. It tips the scales at 33 oz. Both the Santos Spinning Reels are amazingly well balanced and are equally at home whether you are lure fishing, trolling or even bottom fishing.
